This is a sweet house with a lovely garden, but I admit that when I painted it from this viewpoint, the red sports car stole the show! I think that another visit might result in an entirely different painting.
Built in 1899-1901, this brick Ontario cottage has a hipped roof, a gabled dormer above the front entrance, flat arches with shaped brick hoods, and distinctive scrollwork barge boards on the dormer gable.
